  2. Safety FirstRemove the Plug from the Mains Socket

  3. Tools required: T15 torx screwdriver & a 13mm spanner
    T15 Torx & 13mm spanner
  4. Using the T15 torx remove the screws retaining the lower back panel

  5. Lower back panel removed

  6. Remove 2 screw cover caps on either side of the appliance

  7. Using the T15 torx screwdriver remove 2 screws retaining the lid
    WMA 60 lid 2
  8. Lift the lid a small amount

  9. Push the lid backwards a small amount and remove it

  11. From the top locate the drive belt at the rear of the appliance

  12. Grip the drive belt at the same time rotate the drum pulley to remove the belt
    WMA 60 Belt 2
  13. Now remove the drive belt from the drive shaft

  14. With the belt released from the drum pulley and drive shaft remove the belt
    WMA 60 Belt 3
  15. Using a soft cloth for protection lay the machine on its face (a folded dustsheet is useful)

  16. Using a 13mm spanner remove 2 Motor retaining bolts

  17.  Using a 13mm spanner remove 2 Motor retaining bolts
    WMA 60P Motor 2a
  18. With bolts removed now remove the motor from the drum casing

  19. Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them

  20. Wires removed

  22. Locate the carbon brush holder on the Motor

  23. Remove the single wire to the carbon brush

  24. Wire removed

  25. Using the phillips screwdriver remove 2 retaining screws on each holder
    WMA 60 Carbon Brush  4 
  26. Remove the carbon brush holder

  27. Carbon brush holder removed

  28. Take the Carbon Brushes from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance
    WMA 60 Carbon Brush and Holder
  29. Locate the new carbon brush holder onto the motor

  30. Using the phillips screwdriver fit the retaining screws securing the holder
    WMA 60 Carbon Brush  4
  31. Fit the single wire onto the new carbon brush
    WMA 60 Carbon Brush  2
  32. New carbon brush holder in place

  33. Fit the wires to the motor
    WMA 60 Motor 5
  34. Locate the Motor into position on the drum housing

  35. Locate the Motor retaining bolts

  36. Using the 13mm spanner tighten both Motor retaining bolts do not over tighten

  37. Stand the machine up and from the top feed the belt down past the drum pulley

  38. Position the drive belt over the drive shaft
    WMA 60 Belt 4
  39. Position the drive belt over the drum pulley while  rotating the drum pulley
    WMA 60 Belt 2
  40. The drive belt should be fitting centrally on the drum pulley

  41. The drive belt should be fitting centrally on the drive shaft
    WMA 60 Lower back plate 4
  42. Replace the lid
    WMA 60 lid 4
  43. Using the T15 torx screwdriver replace 2 screws retaining the lid
    WMA 60 lid 2
  44. Replace 2 screw cover caps on either side of the appliance
    WMA 60 lid 1
  45. Using the T15 torx screwdriver replace the screws retaining the lower back panel
    WMA 60 Lower back plate 3
