  3. Tools Required: A Phillips Screwdriver and a small flat Screwdriver

  5. From the top of the appliance remove the top retaining screws

  7. Remove further top retaining screws

  9. Remove further top retaining screws

  10. From the rear lift the top up

  11. Draw the top towards you and remove it

  13. Locate the oven thermostat and make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful)

  14. Remove the wires

  15. Using a small flat screwdriver release the thermostat retaining clips

  17. Remove the oven thermostat from the oven function switch

  20. Make a note of further wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them BIMS31 Oven Function Switch 2
  21. Wires removed from the oven function switch

  22. On the console grip the control knob

  23. Pull the control knob off

  25. Using the phillips screwdriver remove the function switch retaining screws

  26. Remove further function switch retaining screws

  27. Grip the oven function switch and remove it from the console

  28. Oven function switch removed

  29. Take the function switch from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance

  30. Fit the new oven function switch onto the console

  31. Make sure its lined up with the screw holes on the console

  32. Hold the oven function switch against the console & replace the retaining screws

  33. Using the phillips screwdriver tighten the retaining screws

  34. Tighten further retaining screws

  35. Line up the control knob taking note of the shape of the spindle

  36. Push the control knob into position

  37. Refit the wires making sure they are in the correct position

  38. Fit the oven thermostat into the oven function switch

  39. Push the oven thermostat into the oven function switch

  40. Oven thermostat in position now replace the wires

  41. Make sure the wires are in the correct position

  42. Replace the top and push it forward into position

  43. Lower the top down into position

  44. Replace the top retaining screws

  45. Tighten the top retaining screws

  46. Replace and tighten further top retaining screws

  47. Replace and tighten further top retaining screws

  48. Replace and tighten further top retaining screws

  49. The appliance is now ready for use
