  3. Tools Required: A Phillips screwdriver

  6. Remove the oven grid

  7. Remove the oven drip tray

  8. Locate the rear panel

  9. Using the phillips screwdriver remove the rear panel retaining screws

  10. Remove further rear panel retaining screws

  12. Remove further rear panel retaining screws

  13. Tilt the rear panel outwards

  14. Locate the terminal block on the inside of the rear panel

  15. Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them

  16. Wires removed now remove the rear panel

  18. Locate the terminals to the oven grill element and remove the wires

  20. Wire removed from terminal on the opposite side

  21. Remove the earth wire from the terminal

  22. Wires removed from both terminals and earth terminal

  23. Using the phillips screwdriver remove the element retaining screws

  24. Retaining screw removed

  25. Remove further element and thermostat retaining screws

  26. Pull the thermostat away from the element

  27. Retaining screw and thermostat removed

  28. Locate the element on the inside of the oven

  29. Make a note of how the wire rod rests on the oven sides

  30. Pull the wire rod evenly on both sides to remove the element

  31. Pull the element away from its location at the rear of the oven

  32. Remove the element from the oven

  34. Take the new element from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance

  35. Fit the oven grill element into the oven

  36. Feed the element terminals into the holes at the rear of the oven

  37. Push the wire rod evenly on both sides until the element is in place

  38. Make sure the wire rods are located properly on both sides

  40. At the rear locate the element

  41. Slide the oven thermostat over the element terminal

  42. Position the element retaining screw

  43. Using the phillips screwdriver tighten the element retaining screw

  44. Position the element retaining screw on the opposite side

  45. Using the phillips screwdriver tighten the element retaining screw

  46.  Fit the earth wire onto the element

  47. Fit the wire onto the element terminal

  48. Fit the wire onto the element terminal on the opposite side

  49. Reconnect the wire to the terminal block situated on the rear panel

  50. Wires reconnected

  51. Reposition the back panel onto the appliance

  52. Using the phillips screwdriver replace the rear panel retaining screws

  53. Replace further rear panel retaining screws

  54. Replace further rear panel retaining screws

  55. Replace further rear panel retaining screws
    BIMS31 Rear Panel 1
  56.  Rear panel in place

  57. Replace the oven drip tray

  58. Replace the oven grid

  59. The appliance is now ready for use
