Voltage convertor
I purchased this item to use in the USA when on a recent holiday. After less than 5 minutes use it stopped working and I couldn't use my hair tongs. As I had disposed on the packaging before I went on holiday and obviously did not try it before I left, I could not report its failure. I had to purchase tongs in USA which were not cheap. Very disappointed with this product.

Waste of money
Waste of money just glad I don’t pay more for it . I’m in New York at the moment and unable to do absolutely anything to may hair with my dryer or straightening irons - gutted as this was what I wanted them for - sounds trivial to some but won’t be in any of my photos as hair looks awful...

Yes if you are using it in a country where the power is 110v like the USA then this steps up the power to operate products that usually work when they are plugged directly into a UK plug socket

can it be used for 110V electric hair curling rod, which i want to use here in Uk on 220V?
i bought this curler from US so it is 110V and i can't use it in UK as we have got 220V here.

No this does the opposite. This would convert UK plugs to work in US.

120 volts
