    original electrolux Z390 vacuum motor wiring query

    My local repair centre has advised me that the MTR165 motor will not fit my electrolux Z390 vacuum cleaner although your site says it does. They say this is because the wire to operate the variable speed control is not present in the MTR165 motor, also the diameter is smaller than that of my original motor. They say they know this from another customer’s experience last year. Can you confirm categorically that your MTR165 motor will fit the electrolux Z390 vacuum cleaner, and if this is so how do we get round the speed wire not being present in the your motor. The diameter size should only be a problem if it was bigger than the original so that should not be an obstacle

      This motor is the only one apart from the genuine that is listed against your model and should be fine
