Our 10 year-old Hotpoint started walking across the kitchen when spinning, and the drum was banging loudly against the side of the machine.On opening up the top I found a broken suspension spring. I replaced the 2 springs, but the problem wasn't fixed??? Then I discovered that washing machines have dampers (like car shock-absorbers). Got the dampers and replaced them, and now the washing machine is running like a Rolls-Royce again. Yourspares were great - parts ordered and delivered very quickly. Also, I saved probably more than a £100 with a bit of DIY.
