It is vitally important that you are aware of the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, Carbon monoxide poisoning is often fatal and it is almost impossible to detect without a detector because it is odurless, colourless and tasteless. In addition to this symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning are often confused with symptoms of flu and food poisoning!
Symptoms to keep a look out for are
- headaches
- nausea and sickness
- a general feeling of lethargy or exhaustion
- feeling drowsy and or light headed
- unusual or irregular heart beat
- collapsing whilst still conscious and then becoming unconscious
- pains in chest
Everyone is at risk from carbon monoxide poisoning from exposure but remeber that the most vulnerable are pregnant woman, children and the elderly
