what does carbon monoxide smell like
After being allerted to a carbon monoxide leakage, many people have said that they were able to smell the gas when it was present in the atmosphere.
This is incorrect as carbon monoxide does not actually have a smell and is only detectable with a carbon monoxide sensor.
Depending on the cause of the carbon monoxide leakage other odurs may have become present at the same time like smoke or sulfur dioxide. Both of these have very strong smells and could have been created at the time of combustion.
