    How can you tell if marks on your china are caused by a chemical reaction?  Although they have a similar appearance to other types of scratching, you will find the chemical marking on particular areas of your china, where there is the greatest stress.   • Too Much Foam in the Dishwasher 22/05/2013

    If you see foam residue in your dishwasher or, in severe cases, foam oozes out of the door seal, you should turn off the appliance as soon as possible.

    The cause of over-foaming is not a fault with the appliance itself, it is generally caused by human error by using a non-dishwasher detergent.  If you use gel caps for both your dishwasher and washing machine, there is a chance that you could pick up the wrong gel cap in error.

  • Undissolved tablets and residue soap in my dishwasher 21/05/2013

    Everyone has found the horrible sticky mess of an undissolved tablet at the bottom of the dishwasher.  This is unpleasant because its sticky, but also you are not sure that your dishes are clean.  

    In order to be sure your dishes are cleaned you could run them through a rinse only cycle, as this should wash off any soap residue.  It could also be that there is a problem with the actual tablet you have used, and it may be a good idea to change to a different brand or to a gel cap.
