  3. Tools required:Phillips Screwdriver & 8mm Socket
    Phillips screwdriver & jubilee socket

  5. Note: We have removed the side panel for photographic purposes only it is possible to replace the heating element by removing the base only.
  6. Using the phillips screwdriver remove the side panel retaining screws

  7. Open the door & remove the screws behind the rubber edge cover

  8. Remove the screws behind the rubber edge cover

  9. Remove further screws to the side panel

  10. Remove 2 further screws to the side panel

  11. Remove further screws to the side panel

  12. Remove 2 further screws to the side panel

  13. Remove the right hand side panel

  14. Lay the appliance on its side to expose the base

  15. Using the phillips screwdriver remove the base retaining screws

  16.  Remove further base retaining screws

  17. Carefully pull the base out a small amount

  18. Locate the overflow unit on the inside of the base

  19. Make a note of the wires and remove them now remove the base

  20. From inside the appliance locate the lower spray arm retaining nutDI620 Lower Spray Arm 1
  21. Grip the lower spray arm retaining nut and twist to release it

  22. Remove the lower spray arm

  23. Lower spray arm removed

  24. From the bottom locate the heater, make a note of the wires & remove them

  25. Wires Removed

  26. Grip the terminal protectors & pull them off

  27. Remove the terminal protectors
    DI620 Heater 4
  28. Terminal protectors removed

  29. Using the 8mm socket release the heater element locking nut

  30. Remove the locking nut
    DI620 Heater 7
  31. Remove the earth wire from the heater element
    DI620 Heater 8 
  32. Using the 8mm socket release the heater element retaining nut
    DI620 Heater 9
  33. Remove the heater element retaining nut

  34. Remove the washer
    DI620 Heater 11
  35. Locate the heater element support bracket

  36. Remove the heater element support bracket

  37. Grip the element & squeeze to release it from 2 locations

  38. Remove the heating element

  39. Take the new element from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance

  40. Fit the new heating element into the appliance

  41. Squeeze the new element to locate it onto the appliance

  42. Reposition the heater element support bracket

  43. Support bracket in place

  44. Refit the washer

  45. Refit the heating element retaining nut

  46. Using the 8mm socket tighten the heating element retaining nut

  47. Refit the earth wire

  48. Refit the heating element locking nut
    DI620 Heater 7
  49. Tighten the heating element locking nut
    DI620 Heater 6
  50. Replace both terminal protectors
    DI620 Heater 4
  51. Terminal protectors in place
    DI620 Heater 2
  52. Refit the wires
    DI620 Heater 1
  53. Replace the lower spray arm
    DI620 Lower Spray Arm 3
  54. Grip the lower spray arm retaining nut and twist to tighten it

  55. Lower spray arm back in place
    DI620 Lower Spray Arm 1
  56. Replace the wires to the micro switch on the overflow unit

  57. Wires attached
    DI620 Overflow Container 1
  58. Replace the base
    DI620 Base 4
  59. Using the phillips screwdriver replace the base retaining screws

  60. Replace further base retaining screws
    DI620 Base 2
  61. Now stand the appliance upright

  62. Replace the Side Panel
    DI620 Side Panel 8
  63. Using the phillips screwdriver replace 2 screws to the side panel
    DI620 Side Panel 5
  64. Replace further screws to the side panel
    DI620 Side Panel 4
  65. Replace 2 further screws to the side panel
    DI620 Side Panel 3
  66. Replace further screws to the side panel
    DI620 Side Panel 2
  67. Replace further screws to the side panel behind the rubber edge cover
    DI620 Side Panel 6
  68. Replace further screws to the side panel behind the rubber edge cover
    DI620 Side Panel 7
  69. Replace further screws to the side panel
    DI620 Side Panel 1
  70. The appliance is now ready for use
