- Safety first remove plug from the mains socket
- Tools required are a phillips screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the 2 retaining screws securing the lid
- Give the lid a firm push backwards to disengage it
- Remove the lid
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove 2 screws attaching console to dispenser
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove a screw attaching console to side casing
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove a screw attaching console to side casing
- From inside release 2 clips attaching console to front casing
- Remove the console from the front casing
- Locate the programme selector potentiometer on the console
- Using a phillips screwdriver remove 3 screws and remove the programme selector
- Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them
- Using a flat screwdriver gently prise potentiometer from the knob and timer disc
- Potentiometer separated from knob and timer disc
- Potentiometer attached to its support bracket
- Using a flat screwdriver release the potentiometer from its support bracket
- Potentiometer separated from its support bracket
- Take the new potentiometer from its package ensuring its correct for appliance
- Fit the new potentiometer into its support bracket
- locate the knob and timer disc onto the new potentiometer
- Give the knob a firm push onto the potentiometer
- Programme selector together as a unit
- Fit the wires to the new potentiometer
- Replace the programme selector and secure with 3 screws
- Refit the console to the front casing push down so it clicks into place
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace a screw attaching console to side casing
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace a screw attaching console to side casing
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace 2 screws attaching console to dispenser
- Replace the lid
- Give the lid a firm push forwards to engage it
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace the 2 retaining screws securing the lid
