How to change a solenoid inlet valve on a Washing Machine

  2. Safety first remove plug from the mains socket

  3. Tools required are a phillips screwdriver

  4. Using the phillips screwdriver remove the 2 retaining screws securing the lid

  5. Give the lid a firm push backwards to disengage it

  6. Remove the lid

  7. Make a note of the wires (A photograph is useful)and remove them

  8. Using the phillips screwdriver remove 2 screws retaining the inlet valves

  9. Using the phillips screwdriver remove 4 screws retaining the inlet valves

  10. Remove the hot inlet valve

  11. Remove the dual cold inlet valve

  12. Take the new solenoid valves from the package

  13. Ensuring there correct for the appliance

  14. Replace the dual cold inlet valve

  15. Replace the hot inlet valve

  16. Using the phillips screwdriver replace 4 screws retaining the new inlet valves

  17. Using the phillips screwdriver replace 2 screws retaining the new inlet valves

  18. Fit the wires to the new solenoid valves

  19.  Replace the lid

  20. Give the lid a firm push forwards to engage it

  21. Using the phillips screwdriver replace the 2 retaining screws securing the lid
