How to change latch & catch on a tumble dryer- Safety first remove plug from mains socket
- Tools required are a phillips screwdriver
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the screw retaining the latch
- Slide the latch down and pull towards you
- Remove the latch from the casing
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the catch retaining screw
- Slide the catch down & pull forward
- Remove the catch from the door
- Take the new latch & catch from its package ensuring its correct for appliance
- Locate the new catch into the door
- Push the catch in & slide upwards
- Using the phillips screwdriver secure the catch with the retaining screw
- Fit the new latch into the casing
- Push the latch in & slide upwards
- Using the phillips screwdriver secure the latch with the retaining screw
