How to change the air break unit on an Indesit Dishwasher
- Safety First:Remove the Plug from the Mains Socket
- Tools required:Phillips Screwdriver & a Socket for Jubilee Clips
- A pair of Pliers
- Indesit DI620 Integrated Dishwasher
- Grip the top basket runner end stop and twist outwards
- Basket runner end stop twisted out
- Basket runner end stop twisted out on the other side
- Remove the top basket
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the left side panel retaining screws
- Remove further side panel retaining screws
- Remove further side panel retaining screws
- Remove further side panel retaining screws
- Remove further side panel retaining screws
- Remove further side panel retaining screws
- Remove further side panel retaining screws
- Remove further side panel retaining screws
- Remove the left side panel
- Locate the air break unit
- From the inside of the appliance locate the air break unit retaining nut
- Grip the air break unit retaining nut and twist to release it
- Retaining nut removed
- Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful)
- Grip the wires and pull downwards to remove them
- Wires removed
- Remove the condensation hose from the air break unit
- Condensation hose removed
- Using the pliers release the corbin clip retaining the unit to sump hose
- Grip the unit to sump hose and remove it
- Air break unit to sump hose removed
- Release the jubilee clip retaining the water inlet hose
- Grip the water inlet hose and remove it
- Water inlet hose removed
- Remove the air break unit from the appliance
- Air break unit removed
- Take the Air Break Unit from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance
- Fit the new air break unit to the appliance
- Replace the water inlet hose onto the new air break unit
- Tighten the jubilee clip retaining the water inlet hose
- Replace the air break unit to sump hose
- Replace the corbin clip retaining the air break unit to sump hose
- Replace the condensation hose
- Replace the wires to the air break unit
- Wires in place
- From inside the appliance replace the air break unit retaining nut
- New air break unit in place
- Replace the left side panel
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace the left side panel retaining screws
- Replace further side panel retaining screws
- Replace further side panel retaining screws
- Replace further side panel retaining screws
- Replace further side panel retaining screws
- Replace further side panel retaining screws
- Replace further side panel retaining screws
- Replace further side panel retaining screws
- Replace the upper basket & as you push it in the end stops will relocate
- The appliance is now ready for use
