How to change the cooling fan on a tumble dryer
How to change the cooling fan on a tumble dryer- Safety first remove plug from mains socket
- Tools required are a phillips screwdriver and a pair of pliers
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove 2 retaining screws to remove the lid.
- From the front give the lid a firm push backwards
- Now remove the lid
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the rear screws retaining the side panel
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the top screw retaining the side panel
- Slide the side panel backwards and remove it.
- Remove the wires from the cooling fan housing
- Wires removed
- Un clip the cooling fan housing and remove it
- Using the pliers remove the corbin clip retaining the fan
- Remove the fan from the spindle
- Take the new fan(C00095599) from its package ensuring its correct for appliance
- Fit the new fan onto the spindle
- Using the pliers replace the corbin clip retaining the fan
- Replace the cooling fan housing and clip it into position.
- Wires can now be re housed
- Replace the wires onto the cooling fan housing
- Relocate the side panel at the bottom and slide it forwards into position.
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace the top screw retaining the side panel
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace the rear screws retaining the side panel
- Refit the lid
- Give the lid a firm push forwards until it clicks into place.
- Replace the 2 lid retaining screws
