How to change the Drum Seal on a Hotpoint Washing Machine
Safety First:Remove the Plug from the Mains Socket
Tools required: T30 torx screwdriver & a flat head screwdriver
Use a suitable silicone sealant where indicated

Drum assembly removed
The 2 parts of the outer drum will only fit one way but 2 marks helps reassembly
Using the T30 torx remove the outer drum retaining screws
Using the flat head screwdriver carefully separate the 2 parts of the outer drum
Outer drum separated
Grip the drum seal and remove it from the outer drum
Clean the area of the outer drum where the drum seal sits
Take the new drum seal from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance
Fit the new drum seal to the outer drum casing
Apply a suitable silicone sealant around the perimeter of the drum seal
Line up the 2 marks & fit the 2 parts of the outer drum together
Two parts of drum together & ready for fixing
Note the numbers on the drum front, these indicate screw numbers
Using the T30 torx tighten screws in opposite sequence 1-10-6-14 etc
Drum assembly back together & ready to be fitted to the machine
