How to Re-hand the door on a tumble dryer
- Safety first remove plug from mains socket
- Tools required are a phillips screwdriver
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the catch retaining screw
- Slide the catch down & pull forward
- Remove the catch from the door and put aside for rehanding
- Push the release tab to allow the catch blanking plate removal
- Remove the catch blanking plate from the door and put aside for rehanding
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove 2 retaining screws securing the top hinge
- Pull the door away from the casing & remove the top hinge ready for rehanding
- Lift the door away from the bottom hinge
- Remove the hinge, this will now be used on the top of the door opposite side
- Remove the blanking screws to enable bottom hinge to be fitted
- Using the top hinge re hand it to the bottom on the opposite side
- Remove the blanking screws to enable top hinge to be fitted
- Locate the door onto the bottom hinge
- Locate the top hinge into the door and possition against the casing
- Using the phillips screwdriver secure the hinge with 2 screws
- Fit the blanking screws where hinges were removed
- Fit the blanking screws where hinges were removed
- Locate the catch into the opposite side of the door
- Using the phillips screwdriver secure the catch
- Locate the catch cover plate into the opposite side of the door
- Release the tab and release the door latch cover plate on the casing
- Remove the door latch cover plate from the casing
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the door latch retaining screw
- Slide the latch down and pull it towards you
- Remove the latch from the casing
- Locate the latch into the casing on the opposite side
- Using the phillips screwdriver secure the latch with the retaining screw
- Fit the door latch cover plate into the casing on the opposite side
