- How to replace a circulating fan motor on an oven Ariston, Creda, Hotpoint, Indesit
- Safety First:Remove the Plug from the Mains Socket
- Tools Required: A phillips screwdriver & a 10mm Socket
- Indesit (BIMS31KABIX)
- Open the door
- Remove the oven grid
- Remove the oven drip tray
- Inside the appliance locate the oven fan cover & remove the retaining screws
- Remove further oven fan cover retaining screws
- Remove further oven fan cover retaining screws
- Remove further oven fan cover retaining screws
- Remove the oven fan cover
- Oven fan exposed (note the retaining nut has a left hand thread) and needs to be rotated clockwise to release
- Using the 10mm socket release the fan retaining nut in a clockwise direction
- Remove the fan retaining nut
- Grip the fan & pull it off the motor spindle
- Fan removed
- Locate the rear panel
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the rear panel retaining screws
- Remove further rear panel retaining screws
- Remove further rear panel retaining screws
- Remove further rear panel retaining screws
- Tilt the rear panel outwards
- Locate the terminal block on the inside of the rear panel
- Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them
- Wires removed now remove the rear panel
- With the rear panel removed locate the circulating fan motor
- Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them
- Remove the earth wire
- Remove the 2 main wires
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the motor retaining screws
- Remove further motor retaining screws
- Remove further motor retaining screws
- Grip the motor and remove it from the appliance
- Motor removed
- Take the new motor from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance
- Fit the new circulating fan motor to the appliance
- Line up the new motor with the screw holes
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace the motor retaining screws
- Replace further motor retaining screws
- Replace further motor retaining screws
- Replace the wires making sure they are in the right place
- Replace the earth wire
- Wires in place
- Reconnect the wire to the terminal block situated on the rear panel
- Wires reconnected
- Reposition the back panel onto the appliance
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace the rear panel retaining screws
- Replace further rear panel retaining screws
- Replace further rear panel retaining screws
- Replace further rear panel retaining screws
- Rear panel in place
- New motor in place with spindle exposed
- Fit the fan onto the spindle
- Fit the fan retaining nut
- Tighten the retaining nut anticlockwise do not overtighten
- Oven fan in place
- Replace the oven fan cover
- Replace the oven fan cover retaining screws
- Replace further oven fan cover retaining screws
- Replace further oven fan cover retaining screws
- Replace further oven fan cover retaining screws
- Replace the oven drip tray
- Replace the oven grid
- The appliance is now ready for use
