How to replace an oven lamp holder assembly Ariston, Cannon, Creda, Hotpoint, Indesit
- Safety First:Remove the Plug from the Mains Socket
- Tools Required: A phillips screwdriver & a small flat screwdriver
- Indesit (BIMS31KABIX)
- Open the door
- Remove the oven grid
- Remove the oven drip tray
- Locate the lamp assembly inside the oven
- Grip the glass lens and twist anticlockwise to release from the lamp assembly
- Remove the glass lens from the lamp assembly
- Glass lens removed from the lamp assembly
- Grip the lamp (bulb) and twist anticlockwise to release from the lamp assembly
- Remove the lamp (bulb) from the lamp assembly
- Lamp (bulb) removed from the lamp assembly
- Locate the rear panel
- Using the phillips screwdriver remove the rear panel retaining screws
- Remove further rear panel retaining screws
- Remove further rear panel retaining screws
- Remove further rear panel retaining screws
- Tilt the rear panel outwards
- Locate the terminal block on the inside of the rear panel
- Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them
- Wires removed now remove the rear panel
- With the rear panel removed locate the oven lamp assembly
- Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them
- Wires removed from the lamp assembly
- Using the small flat screwdriver gently push to release the retaining clips
- Gently push to release further retaining clips
- Gently push to release further retaining clips
- Gently push to release further retaining clips
- The oven lamp assembly can now be released from the oven casing
- Let the oven lamp assembly rest on the casing & retrieve it from inside the oven
- Grip the oven lamp assembly and remove it from the appliance
- Oven lamp assembly removed
- Take the lamp assembly from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance
- Line up the new lamp assembly into the aperture
- Push the lamp assembly until it clicks into place
- New lamp assembly in place at the rear of appliance
- Fit the wires to the new lamp assembly
- Reconnect the wire to the terminal block situated on the rear panel
- Wires reconnected
- Reposition the back panel onto the appliance
- Using the phillips screwdriver replace the rear panel retaining screws
- Replace further rear panel retaining screws
- Replace further rear panel retaining screws
- Replace further rear panel retaining screws
- Rear panel in place
- From inside the oven fit the new lamp (bulb) to the lamp assembly
- Twist the lamp (bulb) clockwise into the lamp assembly do not overtighten
- Lamp (bulb) in place
- Replace the glass lens to the lamp assembly
- Twist the glass lens clockwise to secure do not overtighten
- Glass lens in place secured to the lamp assembly
- Replace the oven drip tray
- Replace the oven grid
- The appliance is now ready for use
