How to replace the drain conduct panel assembly on an oven, Indesit
- Safety First:Remove the Plug from the Mains Socket
- Tools Required: A Phillips Screwdriver
- Indesit BIMS31KABIXS
- From the top of the appliance remove the top retaining screws
- Screw removed
- Remove further top retaining screws
- Remove further top retaining screws
- Remove further top retaining screws
- From the rear lift the top up
- Draw the top towards you and remove it
- Top removed
- Locate the motor blower
- Make a note of the wires (a photograph is useful) and remove them
- Wires removed
- Grip the fan motor and twist upwards
- In this position the fan motor can be removed
- Pull the fan motor spindle out of the blower this will be slightly tight
- Fan motor removed
- On the opposite end from the motor locate the rubber bearing
- Grip the rubber bearing and pull to remove it
- Pull the rubber bearing away from the motor blower
- Rubber bearing removed
- Grip the motor blower
- Lift the motor blower out of the assembly
- Motor blower removed from assembly
- Remove the wires from drain conduct panel
- Wires removed
- From the side of the appliance remove the drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Remove further drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Remove further drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Remove further drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Grip the drain conduct panel and lift upwards
- Lift the drain conduct panel away from the side panel
- Remove the drain conduct panel from the appliance
- Drain conduct panel removed
- Take the drain conduct from its package ensuring its correct for the appliance
- Feed the new drain conduct panel under the oven function switch
- Lower the new drain conduct panel into position
- Push the new drain conduct panel forward
- Make sure the drain conduct panel fits over the 2 small lugs on the outer casing
- Drain conduct panel in position
- Replace the wires into the new drain conduct panel
- Wires in place
- Replace the drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Replace further drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Replace further drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Replace further drain conduct panel retaining screws
- Fit the motor blower into the assembly
- Lower the motor blower into the assembly
- Line up the rubber bearing with the motor blower spindle
- Fit the rubber bearing into the assembly
- Push the rubber bearing so it fits correctly into the assembly
- Rubber bearing in place
- Locate the fan motor spindle into the blower
- Push the fan motor spindle into the blower
- Locate the motor into the blower casing
- Twist the fan motor downwards to lock into place
- Refit the wires in the right place
- Check the blower does not foul up on the plastic casing
- Check both sides and slide to adjust if necessary
- Spin the blower to make sure it spins freely
- Motor blower in place
- Replace the top and push it forward into position
- Lower the top down into position
- Replace the top retaining screws
- Tighten the top retaining screws
- Replace and tighten further top retaining screws
- Replace and tighten further top retaining screws
- Replace and tighten further top retaining screws
- The appliance is now ready for use
