Step-down Voltage Converter 230V - 110V (45W) - (UK version) Stepdown 240V 120V - UK2US45VA
The transformer emits a hum which you do get used to although it does get warm even when not in use so there is a 24/7 running cost. However the transformer has permitted me to retain a very nice bedside lamp which I had not appreciated would be for 110V operation as it was an internet purchase from the states. I thought about just replacing the plug with a UK one but that would have destroyed the touch base on/off facility. The converter was a relatively cheap solution.

byWashing Machine Door Bowl Retainer for Hotpoint/Export/Creda Washing Machines
Door retainers
Product is fine and does what it is supposed to do , but they are very expensive for a bit of plastic, then again a new glass door would be much more.
