New brushes fitted.Dyson YDK Motor Replacement Carbon Brushes 2 Pack 5 out of 5

Yes, so far so good. The brushes were badly worn due to a failing bearing. Now fitted by soldering new ones in place, all I am waiting for now is the replacement bearings. Coming from China/ Hong Kong for £1.09 for two!!! making a rebuilt Dyson DC01 motor £2.84. TIP:- push the brushes in their sleeves then the spring and trial fit the brass plates to hold the spring. Then cut the wire to length as you do not need to leave such a tail. That way the brushes will not fall out within the motor!
