An excellent replacement
The failed element is held in by one screw and is connected in by two spade connectors on the ends of wires that disappear through holes in the back wall. To make sure that I didn't lose the wires, I pulled some slack through then put bulldog clips on the wires before disconnecting them from the element. I put the new element in roughly its position and put the spade connectors on the terminals before removing the bulldog clips. Then I put it in its final position and replaced the screw. A doddle!
