Hinge for Hotpoint/English Electric Washing Machines
Worked
Bought for A30+ years old English Electric tumble dryer, still working well when the original hinge, not surprisingly, failed. Hinge supplied was identical to the old hinge. Perfect.

Bought this to replace the bearings that were on the way out for a Hotpoint WM75. Now all the neighbours no longer know when I'm doing my laundry.

Hotpoint Carbon Brushes
The symptom was the machine would stop halfway through a cycle. Particularly evident during the spin cycles. The brushes when they arrived were very stiff in the metal sleeve and this didn't seem correct. I removed some of the carbon with a blade so that the carbon rods had free movement. This seemed to cure the problem and the machine now runs perfectly, although to be honest I need to do more washes to be absolutely confident that this was the problem.
