Hot point FF93N fridge door switch 5 stars 5 out of 5

My freezer was at -22c my fridge compartment +21c
Reason door switch intermittent when the door is closed it is supposed to switch off the light and switch on the fan to circulate the air from the freezer to the fridge compartment.i put my first switch in and still had the same problem.i changed the fan motor and still had the same problem.i put a second new switch in and the fridge is now working ok.i did remove all connectors and refit them as well.so I am going to test the new switch I removed to see if that was the problem and return it to e spares for a refund

Intermittent Fridge Temp 5 stars 5 out of 5

A very intermittent door switch caused the internal light to stay on, heating up the contents of the fridge. This replacement is the same as the original and was very easy to fit . Watch out for a groove worn in the part of the door which operates the switch as this can also prevent the switch from operating. The next step is to replace the internal light with an LED (so if the switch fails and the internal light stays on, the fridge will not warm up so quickly).
