fiddly to install but cured the intermittent fault that had been going for a long time.

    clothes not fully drying with my Hotpoint TDL60N

    Sometimes when i turn the selector knob to any of the drying programmes the dryer starts but only with cold air and the drying light on the front of the machine remains unlit, even thought the power light is on. However a sharp tap on the top of the machine above the selector turns the light on and the dryer heats up. However drying results can be rather poor, as though the drying cycle hasn't completed. Cotton settings often have to be run twice and acrylic constantly gives poor results.

    I have already changed the the heating elements, as they were beginning to break down, also took the opportunity to change the two sensors above the the heating element.

    In your opinion is it now likely that this selector switch what needs to be changed
