Great Service 5 stars 5 out of 5

After ordering this element, I realized, (after taking the top off the machine) it was the wrong one, and contacted YOURSPARES.
"No problem" was their reply, "Just send it back and we will credit your account and you can re-order the one you really want"
So I repackaged it up, sent it away, and the next day my account was refunded.
I then ordered the one I really needed and it arrived super fast and is now keeping my washer-dryer nice and hot.

Questions & Answers

  • Q.

Does this element include a new heat shield?

There is a stainless steel heat-shield which partly supports the heat element - the bracing bar on the element locates into one half of the heat-shield. I would want to swap the heat-shield; does a new one come with the element, or is the heat-shield available as a separate purchase?

      Thanks for the diagram.
I need part 518, the thermostatic cut-out, and in removing the heater element (514 II-version) I found that what I describe as a 'heat-shield' is no longer fully supporting the element - due to corrosion of the thin metal. The 'heat-shield' is the folded metal component shown in the diagram between 518 and 514, although it seems not to have its own part number. I might also need to swap the heater element as. although it still conducts electricity, it is loose on the fixing plate.
