Dust sorted
Filter was for “Older Aquavac types” to protect the motor from fine dust. The fit of the rubber collar was a very tight, and initially required a little lubrication and persuasion to fit over the motor housing. In addition, it is not as tall as the original, however, it fitted and did not interfere with the shut off ball cage.
It appeared to be well made with identical filter material and fixed base plate. It is great value for money, and was packed well. Delivery was on time.
This was a good find and easy to deal with.

The suck is back
The internal diameter was 3mm smaller, so out came the rasp saw and after 10 min fit was good and awesome suction restored. The wet and dry vac used to be my Fathers and has been going 25 years now. I have never seen it suck that well.
