Exactly what does Toc Dyson Ydk mean ?
I'm not a technician but I can and have in the past, changed a vacuum cleaner motor but I don't know what your description "with Toc Dyson Ydk by Yourspares" means.

Hello Harry, A TOC is a thermostat. Or safety cut out. It is usually there to stop the motor from overheating.

Technical note
Some alternative products may state that the motor TOC is “self-resetting”. This is potentially dangerous, as a self-resetting TOC means that it can restart automatically after the motor has cooled down. It is possible that the user might be cleaning the machine whilst it is cooling down, with dangerous consequences if it is still connected to the mains. The TOC used in this motor has a manual reset, which means that the motor can only be restarted by operating the on-off switch.
